DSLR shots around my house at about 22:00. ISO 400, Shutter speed was on about 13 seconds, with the aperture at about f/5.6 for the lamp post and car shots and wide open at f/2.8 for the other two. It was pitch black, I was stunned by the colours that came out of the clouds and the leaves. Curves and Vibrance were edited in Photoshop CS6.
I've had some experience modeling with Sculptris and mudbox but never really put much into it. For this sculpt I really tried to tie everything down and get the textures as good as I could. The final turntable render has full bump and specular mapping and is painted with the proper blue, red, yellow zones of the skin on the face.

I've always had an interest in matte painting and landscapes in art, so I took some time to use my own photos to piece together these paintings. the image below is done with multiple photos of the French Alps, while above is simply a single shot of a valley in the Peak district with elements painted over the top.
Viktor Antonov has done some amazing concept art and was the art director for the recent game release of: 'Dishonored'. Having played the game, I found that it was almost like moving through a work of art, the textures are all hand painted but to an incredibly high 'concept art' style standard, the sky and lighting are perfect throughout, it received top end reviews for it's overall appeal but I think it's a step forward for art in video games . It inspired me to attempt some concept art work of my own. Using some brushes that I acquired from ImagineFX magazine I created these pieces, with textures and materials in mind.
After our introduction to the bouncing ball in Maya, I decided to try and make a more dynamic environment for the ball to interact with. This is far too snappy for a ball but it's an early test.
Our introduction to Maya with Amin. We modeled the first letter of our name using the Extrude tool and then placed it in a city that we had constructed of simple polygons.
